上帝門で生まれたが、アオトが8歳のときに 両親が事故に巻き込まれて他界。父の親友宅に 身を寄せ、以降は蒼谷の郷で育っている。上帝 門の記憶が少ないため、彼にとっては蒼谷の郷 が故郷となった。義理の家庭に遠慮してか、早 くから独立意識が強く、12歳で親方に弟子入 りを志願。実父は刻の輪製作所に勤める研究員 だったが、アオトには鳶職が天職だったようだ。 性格は極めて直情的で、思ったことをすぐ口 にし、即行動に移すタイプ。その無鉄砲さで周 囲をハラハラさせるが、強い責任感の持ち主で あることを周囲もよく知っているため、大人たち から深く信頼されている。幼少時にガキ大将だっ た名残か、気に入った相手に意地悪な物言いを することもあるが、これは親しみの裏返しだ。
Although Aoto was born at Ciela Gate, when he was 8 years old, his parents got involved in an incident, and got killed. Aoto was entrusted to a friend of his parents, and after this, he was raised in the Blue Canyon Hamlet. Because he doesn't have many memories from his time in Ciela Gate, he considers the Blue Canyon Hamlet as his hometown. It might derive from him lacking an actual family, but since an early age he had an strong sense of independence, and the age of 12 years he volunteered to become an apprentice to Steeps. His parents worked as researchers in the Moebius Factory, but Aoto's vocation ended being an steeplejack.
He has an extremely impulsive personality, making him the type that says anything upon thinking it, and that goes right into action. While that reckless way of thought has caused problems to everyone around him, because they also know that he has an strong sense of responsibility, he has gained a lot of trust from the adults. This could be a remain from his childhood days, but the fact that he uses bad-sounding expressions when talking about people for which he cares about is the flipside to being friends with him.
周囲が大人ばかリ、かつ男ばかりの環境で育ったので、 女性への免疫は少ない。 が、お調子者な一面も。
Because having been raised in a place where there only were adults, most of them being men, he has quite a weakness towards women. Well, we could say he gets carried away very easily.

『2』のクロアが主人公っぽくないという声が多かっ たので、なにごとも真剣勝負の熱血ヒーローという、 正統派主人公を目指しました。『1』のライナーと近 いコンセプトですが、騎士であるライナーよりもっと 庶民的な主人公を目指しています。
Since there were many complaints about Croix from [2] not being much of a protagonist, we aimed to make Aoto an orthodox, hot-blooded sword-wielding hero. While this is pretty similar to the concept that Lyner from [1] had, we aimed to make him more of a normal person instead of a knight.

ハ一ヴェスターシャと会うために一人で旅をし ている。蒼谷の郷に来たのは1ヵ月前のことで、 堕天峰でひどいケガをしているところをゲンガイ に発見され、光五条やルーファンらの手を借リ て一命を取り留めた。 タツミの正体は、メタ・ファルスからやってき たココナ・バーテル。遠方出身のレーヴァテイ ルであることが判明すると、クラスタニアでの 行動が著しく制限されるため、男装で生活して いる。そのため非常に警戒心が強く、心を開い ているのはVボード仲間であるアオトと、Vボー ドの師匠であるゲンガイ、そして宿主である修 行僧くらいだ。もっとも、それはここナの本来 の性格ではなく、変装を隠すため。ヘタにしゃ べると本来の性格が出てしまうのと、変声用の キャンディの効果が切れると地声が出てしまうた め、それでバレるのを警戒してのことだ。
A young man that travels by himself to meet Harvestasha. He came around a month ago to the Blue Canyon Hamlet. He was found severely wounded at the Fallen Heaven Peak by Gengai, and was nursed back to health thanks to Hikari Gojo and Luphan.
Tatsumi's true identity is actually Cocona Bartel, who came from Metafalss. Once Clustania identified her as a foreign Reyvateil, they began doing all sorts of things to try to control her, reason why she had to live disguised as a man. Because of that, she is extremely wary of everything, and has only opened her heart to Aoto, who became her friend through V-Boarding, and her V-Boarding teacher Gengai, who's also the ascetic monk that sheltered her. Also, Tatsumi doesn't act at all like Cocona to keep her true identity hidden. However, there are some times in which her true personality comes out forth when she speaks. Furthermore, she always has to be aware of whenever the voice-altering candy she eats begins losing its effects, and her voice begins reverting to its natural form.
入浴中の姿を、偶然アオトに見られてしまったタツミ。もっ とも、鈍いアオトはタツミだとは気づかなかったが。
This was Tatsumi when Aoto accidentally saw him taking a bath. Furthermore, Aoto was so thickheaded that he didn't notice that this was Tatsumi.

とにかく肌の露出を低く低く、というのが出発点で す。帽子が大きくなったのは、ココナの長い髪を隠 すためですね。でもココナの画影も残すということで、 全体的を色使いも似せていますが、凪良ざんの案で ヘソ出しのデザインになっています。
Anyway, the starting point for his design was keeping the amount of skin exposure as low as possible. We also made the cap extremely large for hiding Cocona's long hair. However, we also intended to leave some remnants of Cocona's appearance in him, such as the similarities in the coloring of both. However, the design in which his navel is exposed came from one of Nagi-san's ideas.

ソル・クラスタを遠く離れた地、メタ・ ファルス出身のレーヴァテイル。ソル・ クラスタには存在しない、I.P.D.と呼 ばれる特殊なレーヴァテイルでもある。 彼女はメタ・ファルスの地で、この世を 救うためのカギとなる「大地の心臓」を 預かり、ハ一ヴェスターシャにそれを託す ためにこの地に侵入した。 多くのレーヴァテイルが非力なのに対し、 幼少時から武術を磨いている彼女は、抜群の運 動神経と戦闘能力を備えている。詩魔法を謳う ことも可能だが、I.P.D.である彼女はソル・クラ スタでは本来のカが発揮できないため、白兵戦 中心の行動スタンスを選んだようだ。なお、メタ・ ファルスにクロア・バーテルという大切な男性が いるため、ソル・クラスタでは色恋沙汰には首 を突っ込まないようにしている。
A Reyvateil that came from Metafalss, a land very far away from Sol Cluster. Furthermore, she is an special type of Reyvateil called an IPD, which don't exist at Sol Cluster. At Metafalss, she was entrusted with the [Heart of the Land], which would become the key for the salvation of this world, and she infiltrated in this land to give it to Harvestasha.
In contrast to the powerlessness that most Reyvateils have, she has trained in physical combat since a young age, which has allowed her to have an outstanding combat power and excellent reflexes. While she is capable of singing Song Magic, she can't use these powers in Sol Cluster due to being an IPD, reason why she chose hand-to-hand combat as her main way of defense. By the way, since she has an important man called Croix Bartel in Metafalss, she doesn't want to be involved into any love affairs in Sol Cluster.
意中の人がいるココナではあるが、アオトがヒロインと 結ばれる道を選ばなかったとき、側にいる女性となる。
While Cocona already has someone else in her heart, if Aoto doesn't end with any of the Heroines, she will become the person at his side.
Director's Voice
けっこう悩んだキャラクターです。依頼した時点では、 「髪をおろしてウェーブをかけて、メイクもしてみるよ うな、がんばって背伸びしている感じ」とお願いして ました。いろいろ検討を重ねた結果、素直に成長さ せた決定稿に落ち着いています。
This was the character that worried us the most. When I first asked for the design, I pleaded to "leave her hair down and give her a wavy hairstyle, try applying some make up, and make her give off the feeling that she is doing the best she can". After several tries and experiments, we decided to use the more honestly grown-up design as the final one.

この世界において極めて貴重な、レーヴァテ イル専門医。かつてはアルキア研究所のおかか え医師だったが、研究所が主導する人類進化計 画に強く反発し、辺境であるトコシヱ隧道に身を 退いた。そもそも、光五条が医師を志した理由 は、幼い頃に妹の藍紗（アイシャ）を失ったこ とに起因する。幼かった光五条は、妹を亡くし た当時は知らなかったが、藍紗はアルキア研究 所の実験の犠牲になっていたのだ。光五条はそ の原因を突き止めるべく、独自に研究を続けて いたが、サキやフィンネルと出会ったことでアル キアの巨悪を暴く絶好の機会と考え、アオトらと 行動を共にすることを決意する。 かなりの女性好きな一面があるが、これは色 好みというより、行きすぎたレディファーストの 結果。リッカとのやりとりを見てのとおり、恋愛 に関しては決して積極的な性格ではない。
A medical specialist in Reyvateils, the beings that hold the highest importance in this world. While he used to work in the Archia Think Tank a long time ago, he strongly opposed to the Human Evolution Project the Chairman was trying to implement, and decided to move away to the remote region of the Eternus Shaft. To begin with, the reason for Hikari Gojo deciding to become a doctor was having lost his younger sister Aisha when he was a child. While at the time Hikari Gojo didn't know why this happened, Aisha had become a sacrificial lamb for the Think Tank's experiments. Hikari Gojo decided that he had to find out the cause, and while he conducted his own independent research on this, he thought he got the perfect chance to expose Archia's conspiracy to the world when he met Saki and Finnel, which was the reason for him deciding to travel together with Aoto and his friends.
While he has a liking for women in general, some people have gone to the extreme of calling him a lecherous man due to him going too far with the "ladies first" etiquette.
Director's Voice
本当に一発で決まったキャラクターです。これまでの 『アルトネリコ』シリーズって、拳で語るキャラがほ とんどで、正統派の知的なお兄さんがいなかったん ですよね。そこを意識しつつ、ギャップでびっくりし てもらおうとフンドシ着用です。
He was actually one of the characters that were set as soon as they were designed. While most of the characters in the [Ar tonelico] series are the sort to let their fists do the talking, we didn't actually make one that actually seemed like an orthodox, older brother-type intellectual. While we kept that in mind while we designed him, we also made him wear a fundoshi to give a shocking gap in comparison to his outward appearance.

かつてアルキア研究所で名を馳せた天才 科学者、ラウドネスの娘。アルキア研究所 が推進する「人類進化計画」の副産物とし て生まれた、レーヴァテイル強化施術を受 ける。これにより彼女は、非力が常であっ たレーヴァテイルの常識を覆し、驚異的な 身体能力を身につけている。 もともと小柄で、純粋な心の持ち主で ある彼女は、当初はあまりに女性離れし た体をいやがっていた。しかし、父・ ラウドネスがアルキア研究所の陰謀に よって失踪したことを知ると、この身体 能力を活かしてアルキアに復讐すること を決意。自ら志願してクラスタニア軍に所 属した。任務に励んで昇進することで権力 を手に入れ、いつかアルキアを討って父 の仇をとろうと誓っている。そのために任 務に努めているが、本当の彼女はかわい いものと子供が大好きなのだ。
She is the daughter of Loude, the genius scientist that was pretty famous in the Archia Think Tank many years ago. He was once tasked with the creation of a Reyvateil strengthening procedure that branched off from the [Human Evolution Project] that the Archia Think Tank was trying to implement. Using this, she was able to shatter the image that the Reyvateils were completely powerless, and acquired excellent physical capabilities.
Since she has a naturally short build and has a very pure heart, Mute initially despised the idea of getting a body that was so far from being similar to that of a woman. However, when she learned that her father disappeared because of a conspiracy in the Archia Think Tank, she decided that she would make use of these physical abilities in order to enact her revenge on Archia. This was why she decided by herself to join the Clustanian Army. She pledged that she would dedicate to her missions to ascend through the ranks and attain some power in the army, to someday go and annihilate Archia and all the enemies of her father. Because of that, while she strives to accomplish her missions in the most flawless way possible, she actually loves cute things and children.

強化され、常識的な枠を超えたレーヴァテイルっていうの は、以前からやってみたかったんです。どうせなら、ネタ として思い切ってやってみようと。ただ、ここまではっちゃ けるのは凪良さんが難色を示されました（笑）。
Since sometime ago, we wanted to try making an strengthened Reyvateil that went over the common frame we made for them. Then, we decided that if we were going to do so, we would better do so in full force, as a joke to the players. However, this was the only idea for which Nagi-san voiced his disapproval ever since he began working with us (*laughs*).

優れた知能と政治手腕を備える、アルキア研 究所の所長。自身も研究者であり、ネオアトラ ス派と称する研究チームを率いる。このチーム のかつての室長は、ミュートの父・ラウドネス博 士であり、ラファエーレはその右腕であった。し がしラウドネスが去ったのち、ラウドネスの研究 成果である「人類進化による環境への適応理論」 を自らの理論として発表。研究所の実権を握っ た。彼の人類進化論は、彼なりに世界と人類の 前途を熟考したものだが、一方でその内容は危 険を伴うものであり、またレーヴァテイルを研究 対象としか見ていない、残酷な内容でもあった。
With an excellent level of knowledge and political abilities, he is the current Chairman of the Archia Think Tank. Raphael himself is a researcher as well, and leads the research team known as the Neo Atlas Faction. This research team use to have Mute's father, Loude, as its leader, while Raphael was his right-hand man. However, after Loude left for Metafalss, Raphael stole his research results: [Theories for Adapting to the Environment Through the Human Evolution Project], and published them as his own theory, seizing the power of the Think Tank. While he carefully considered the future prospects for the world and the humans under his own peculiar way of thinking for developing the human evolution theories, said theory is also pretty cruel and carries several dangers with its execution due to him not seeing the Reyvateils as anything but research objects.

シリーズ屈指の「悪い奴」です。今までで一番の悪役に したいと思ってお願いしました。それと、繊細な感じを出 したかったというのがあります。繊細なイメージの悪役を 表現したくて生まれたのがこのキャラです。
The most outstanding of the [evil guys] in the series. I specifically asked to make him give off that feeling of evilness in a way that surpassed all of the other villains so far, but I also wanted him to do so in a very subtle way. From this concept of wanting to depict a villain with a very subtle image, we created him.

アルキア研究所のナンバー2として名高い、 敏腕の研究員。かつてはクラスタニアの将軍で もあった。希少価値の高いβ純血種のレーヴァ テイルであり、極めて高い能力を備えていたリッ カは、アルキア研究所にとって貴重な研究材料 でもある。かつてアルキア研究所で起きた事件 の調査を担当していたリッカは、アルキア研究 所の実体と真の目的を知ってしまう。その事実 は多くのレーヴァテイル程絶望させるものだっ た。自らもレーヴァテイルである彼女は深く悩 んだが、それが茨の道と知ったうえで、苦渋の 選択としてアルキア研究所に所属する道を選ぶ。
Pretty famous as the Archia Think Tank's No.2, and a very capable researcher. She also used to be the General for the Clustania Army a long time ago. Richa is one of the rare and expensive Pureblooded β-type Reyvateils, which are equipped with exceptionally high abilities, and serve as precious research material to the Archia Think Tank. A long time ago, Richa was appointed to investigate an incident that happened in the Archia Think Tank, and while doing so, she learned the true nature of the Think Tank and its true goals. This truth was horrible enough to make all the Reyvateils fall in despair. While this also brought her a great worry due to being a Reyvateil herself, she chose to walk the hardest path, and live within the Archia Think Tank despite knowing all about these horrible facts.

お色気担当ですね。チャイナ服はこちらからのオーダーで す。ヒロインの人格より先に生まれたキャラで、準主役の キャラのなかでは一番大人のイメージです。恋の手ほ どきをしてくれるようなお姉さん、というのが原点です。
Pretty much the character in charge of the sex appeal here, huh? The order that served as the basis for her were the Chinese clothes. Since she was born before the two main Heroines, we decided to make her accordingly more adult in comparison to them. The other starting point for her design was an older sister-like character that walks at the same pace as the hands of love.

大牙を代表する反クラスタニア組織、堕天峰 の長。もともとは修行僧だったが、周囲の厚い 信望を集めており、大牙連合でもご意見番といっ た立場にある。ただし僧侶といえども、酒好きで 流行にも敏感、若者に大流行のVボードにも精 通する生臭坊主だ。特にVボードの腕は超一流 で、選手権の常連となっているほど。 タツミとは、堕天峰に墜落した飛空艇からココ ナを救出した縁で、実の子のようにかわいがって いる。ココナがこの地でも生きていけるように住 まいを手配し、偽名を与えたのもゲンガイだ。ま た、アオトやタツミのVボードの師匠でもある。
The head of the Fallen Heaven Peak, the organization that represents the opposition of the Great Fang against Clustania. While he used to be an ascetic monk, he managed to gather a deep trust from his peers, and attained an important position in the Great Fang Coalition. Although he is called a monk, he is quite prone to get drunk, and has a lot of knowledge in the V-Boarding that has become quite popular among the youngsters, making him a worldly priest. His V-Boarding skills are quite the first-class deal, making him a regular participant in the championship races.
Since he found Cocona's crashed airship in the Fallen Heaven Peak and saved her, he has loved her as if she was her own child. This was why he made the arrangements necessary for Cocona to live in this land, and even gave her a fake name: Tatsumi. Also, he serves as Tatsumi's and Aoto's V-Boarding teacher.

山賊の親分のような、豪快で竹を割ったような性格です。 こういうキャラも、これまでに意外といなかったんですよ ね。デザインイメージもしやすかったようで、特に何も注 文をつけることなく、一発でデザインが決まりました。
He has the personality of a bandit boss that cuts through a bamboo forest excitedly. Unexpectedly, we never have made a character like him before. Maybe the image design was somewhat easier than expected, since I didn't have anything in special on mind when I requested making him, so his first design was also the one we set as the final one.
Ayatane/Luphan

「ルーファン」の偽名を用い、ゲンガイの懐刀 としてクラスタニア軍に潜り込んだスパイ。し かし、その正体は、逆にクラスタニアが堕天峰 に放ったスパイであった。彼の正式名は、ソル・ シエール風に表記すると「クレハ・ペル・キリナ ミ」となる。"アヤタネ"とはテル族の流派名で、 そのまま通称となった。 テル族であるアヤタネは、人間のいない理想 郷「レーヴァテリア」こそが最上であると考え、 ハ一ヴェスターシャの直属の配下として暗躍。 そのため、人間に対して深い憎悪の念を抱く。
He is an spy from the Great Fang that infiltrated in the Clustanian Army as Gengai's right-hand man, using the fake name [Luphan]. However, his true identity was actually the contrary: the spy that handed over the Fallen Heaven Peak to Clustania. His full name would be [Kureha Pel Kirinami] if it was written under the standard used Sol Ciel by the Sol Ciel Terus. "Ayatane" is just a name for a Teru family, which ended becoming the popular way for referring to all of its members.
As a member of the Teru, Ayatane has as his utmost ideal the creation of a human-less paradise called [Reyvateilia], and for doing that, he controls all of Harvestasha's direct subordinates from the shadows. Due to events from the past, he harbors a deep hatred towards the humans.

凪良ざんに「アヤタネの子孫です」とだけ伝えて、自由 ま発想でデザインしていただきました。『2』のアヤタネも そうです。最初はルーファンとして登場しますが、前作を プレイした人には、正体はひと目でわかりますよね。
We just told Nagi-san to make him as a [descendant of Ayatane], allowing him to depict him however he wished. This was the same thing we did for the Ayatane from [2]. While he initially appears as Luphan, the ones that played the previous games should already know who he actually is from just looking at his appearance.

A researcher that works for the Moebius Factory, the large corporation of Ciela Gate. Because he has developed several kinds of medical equipments exclusively for Reyvateils, he got in a sort of professional relationship with Hikari Gojo, who at the time had just begun working at the Archia Think Tank, and eventually both recognized each other as friends. Katene's father Kiraha once worked as a member of the Archia Think Tank, and led the Ancient Faction, which gave the largest importance to carrying out the Planet Regeneration Project, until he suddenly disappeared. Not knowing the reasons for Kiraha doing this, he began hating his absent father, and began researching by himself the same subjects that his father abandoned when he left the Ancient Faction. He is also in love with Mute. While they were childhood friends, he fell in love with her current figure.

The starting point for him was us wanting to develop a young man that wore glasses. He has quite the image of a researcher that zealously focuses only on his study subject and ignores everything else, huh? That is the point we wanted to emphasize, and that's why we gave him such a messed up and dirty white coat. That's the proof for him focusing in his research and forgetting about everything else.

レーヴァテイルの専門医である光五条が制作 した、コスモスフィア専用器具。正式名称を「コ スモスフィアアナライザー・トランスエンコー ダーアンドプログラムオプティマイザ」といい、 その頭文字をとってテポと呼ばれている。主な 用途はコスモスフィアにおけるデータの整合性 検知、そして不整合の修復などとなっている。 不具合だらけだったフィンネルのコスモスフィア の解析や修復で活躍し、光五条の技術の高さを うかがわせた。波動科学の集大成的な側面もあ るためか、波動科学の理論に精通しており、す ぐに講義を始めてしまうクセがある。
He is a Cosmosphere-exclusive medical device for Reyvateils made by Hikari Gojo. While his formal name is [Trans-Encoder & Personable Program Optimizer], he is normally called by his acronym Teppo. His main functions are performing Cosmosphere data integrity checks, fixing alignment errors, and such other functions. That he could detect and fix the multiple errors that were found in Finnel's Cosmosphere is a testament to Hikari Gojo's technical expertise. It might be because he is a compilation of everything known in Wave Science at the moment, but due to being so familiar with its terms, he begins conducting lectures on it at the worst possible moments.

凪良さんにお任せの、フリーダムなデザインです。こちら 側から提示したのは、精神世界の隙間からいろんなところ に行くということで、「不思議の国のアリス」に出てくる時 計兎のイメージ。だからテポは時計を持っているんです。
When I tasked his design to Nagi-san, I gave him total freedom for making Teppo. When I suggested him the idea, I told him to give Teppo an image similar to the White Rabbit that appears in [Alice in Wonderland], due to him going through the crevices in the Soulspaces. Due to that, Teppo carries a clock around.

The Commander of Clustania. She was one of the Reyvateils born the same time as Finnel, making them two matchless friends since they were very young. However, since she was created specially to be a Commander, she was specialized for military affairs, and was raised in a way that made her personality focused towards efficiency. Due to this, while her emotions are extremely faint, she is capable of sympathizing with Finnel's position in her own way. Also, the true shape of her pet Kukuro is a Antibody, which was set as a decoy in order to confuse others about in which body Arru had descended. However, Kukuro ended developing a very close relationship with Akane.

He is a life form called an Antibody, which is considered as a great threat to humankind. A relationship of mutual trust has developed between him an Akane due to the long time they have been together. His plush-like form is no more than a fake appearamce.

I've been wanting to make a character that had a long yet straightly cut hair. Also, that she didn't give much importance to fashion, and that she cut it by herself. So I thought that this hairstyle would be the easiest to cut. While she has a long hair, there is also some difference in length between different parts of her hair due to that.

The girl that owns the general store [Nya Nya Store]. While she is pretty young, at 12 years she has the intelligence of a genius. While she originally managed the general store over at Metafalss, after her beloved grandmother passed away, she decided to go on a journey. Right at that time, she heard that Cocona was departing on a journey to Sol Cluster, and using her great intellect, she designed the transcontinental airship that Cocona would ride. She then departed alongside Cocona as her engineer. While this is a short version of how she came to Sol Cluster, Sasha also brought to this land a lot of the technologies and knowledge from the Second Tower with her. That was what ultimately led to the regeneration of the Planet.

Quite an orthodox grow, huh? While I didn't actually request for her hair to be untied, this was a compromise of sorts I made with Nagi-san. I felt that the first design for her was far too young-looking, and I decided to make her wear tights.

アルトネリコ第一塔のそびえる地、ソル・シエー ルに住んでいたテル族。ジャックと名乗っている が、本名はアルモニカ・ロス (sic)・パメリ。ソル・ク ラスタではほとんど存在を知られていない、テ ル族である。それゆえに、アヤタネが自らに近 い存在だと見抜くことができ、アヤタネの真意 を見破るきっかけとなった。クルシェに想いを寄 せており、クルシェが自ら開発した大陸間航空 機でソル・クラスタを目指すと聞き、自ら護衛を 買って出た。ちなみにジャックの左手は義手だ が、その設計者と施術者はクルシェであり、い まだにクルシェに対して借金を返済している。
A Teru man that lived in Sol Ciel, the region where the First Tower of Ar tonelico is located. While he goes under the name Jack, his true name is Harmonica Ross (sic) Pameli. He is a Teru, a race whose very existence is almost completely unknown in Sol Cluster. Due to that, while Ayatane could have seen that there was someone similar to him around, this in turn would have also allowed Jack to see his true intentions, which Ayatane wanted to avoid at any costs. He has very strong feelings for Krusche, and thus, when he heard that she had developed a transcontinental airship and was planning to go to Sol Cluster, he himself offered to be her bodyguard. Also, while Jack has an artificial left arm, the person that designed and implanted it into him was Krusche, which ended giving Jack a rather large debt he has yet to pay in full.

This was quite a source of problems, since I couldn't decide how we should design him. Due to this, we decided to design him from the ideas that Nagi-san had. The only revision I asked for after I got these designs was giving Jack camouflaged-styled clothes. However, I felt that this greatly clashes with the world setting.

A technological adviser in Tenba, the greatest corporation conglomerate in Sol Ciel. Despite being a young genius girl, who contributed several advancements and developments, she decided to retire from Tenba temporarily and leave Sol Ciel. Her goal was finding news about her ex-boyfriend Luke, who left Sol Ciel a long time ago. To all the information she could about Luke, and to earn some income to survive in this land, she established together with Jack a mercenary business. While the ones that hired their great technological abilities were almost always the Archia Think Tank, before long they also ended helping Aoto and his friends. The cooperation between Krusche and the most intelligent person from Metafalss, Sasha, served later on as the driving force for completing the Third Tower.

I had decided only a single thing about her: that we would make her the only character in the series whose breasts had grown with the passing of years (laughs). Looks like even the characters that have grown throughout the course of the [Ar tonelico] series didn't reflect such grow in their breasts, huh? Upon noticing that, I requested to give further importance to this point.

She is both the system that holds almost total control over the systems of the Third Tower, and the dictator with full powers in Clustania. She actually is a Mainframe (AI) that was designed to control the Third Tower. While she originally had a completely different personality, Ayatane uploaded her current personality and changed her. Because of that, Harvestasha displays blunt hatred against the humans, and attempts to create the paradise of Reyvateilia. Her Reyvateil supremacy ideals have become pretty much the basis of Clustania. Also, there is another edition of her. They were originally Mainframes designed to work together to accomplish an specific objective.

最初に上がってきたデザインは、ボスのほうなんで す。XPなどのほうは、凪良ざさんの落書きから生まれ たキャラでした。その落書きが可愛かったのと、可 愛いくて無邪気なのに毒舌、というキャラをやりたく なって、そちらがメインになりました。
The first design of her that I got was the one of her boss form. The designs for XP and such were developed from scribbles that Nagi-san had made. These scribbles had a rather cute look to them, and while I didn't really want to make a cute, innocent yet foul-mouthed character, seems like that ended becoming her main personality.

Village Chief
倉谷の郷の村長。堕天峰の 人間の大多数は商業主義を 嫌い、アルキアに嫌悪感を 見せるが、村おこしのため に産業誘致をアピールして いる。権力に弱く、アオトた ちを売ろうと画策した。
The Chief of the Blue Canyon Hamlet. While he despises conducting business with the people from the Fallen Heaven Peak, and even demonstrates animosity against Archia, he has appealed to their industries in order to revitalize the village. He has a very weak authority, and was who made the plan to sell off Aoto and his friends to Clustania.

The boss of the construction workers that work at Paper Scissors, in the Blue Canyon Hamlet. As Aoto's master, he was who taught him the basics of construction. He is very strict when it comes to work, and has the typical stubbornness of an artisan. He is very fond of drinking and gambling, but dislikes [Nyo? Guts].

A trainee monk that lives in a mountain hut in the Fallen Heaven (sic) Road, who lodged Tatsumi and his friends. While he built and lives in an small hut near the summit of the Great Fang in order to conquer his fear of heights, he still has been unable to overcome it. His hobby is appreciating movies at the Telemo Theaters.

Katene's father, and one of the best researchers that worked for the Archia Think Tank. While he and Raphael had a very long-standing antagonism, he disappeared ten years ago. He escaped alongside Saki, and was killed at Paper Scissors.

大牙最大の街、トコシエ隧 道の市長。大きな発言力を 持つが、周囲の人気がゲン ガイに集中していることを妬 んでいた。堕天峰のクレン ジングにあたり、保身を図っ てゲンガイを失脚させる。
The Mayor of the Eternus Shaft, the largest city in the Great Fang. While he has quite an influential voice, he is greatly envious of the large popularity Gengai receives from his peers. After the Fallen Heaven Peak was Cleansed, he took advantage of it as a chance to overthrow Gengai in order to protect his own position.

トコシエ隧道の名物定食屋 よっこらの女将。行き場を 失っていたフィンネルを保護 し、よっこらの看板娘として 雇っていた。夫は大牙の遠 征軍の隊長だったが、ソー マに討たれている。
The owner of the famous bistro Yokkora, located in the Eternus Shaft. She sheltered Finnel, who didn't have anywhere else to go, and hired her as the mascot girl for the bistro. Her husband used to be the captain of the Great Fang Expeditionary Forces, but he was assassinated by Soma.

A nurse working in the Hikari Gojo Clinic. She has a secret crush for Hikari Gojo. Her hobby is watching the [Friday Telemo Wide] show. She really suffers when seeing Reyvateils in pain, which makes her pretty bad at performing Installs.

サキが保育園の先生をして いた時代の教え子。強がり で、マセたところのあるヤ ンチャ坊主だが、読書や知 恵の輪を好む知性派な面も。 クラスタニアに囚われていた が、スレイヴで再会した。
One of the children that Saki had under her care during her time as a teacher in the Preschool. He acts very courageous and is a very mischievous kid, but he also likes intellectual things like reading, writing, and solving puzzles. While he was imprisoned by Clustania, Saki and the others reunited in the Slave District.

スレイヴで再会した3人組 のひとり。保育園時代はガ キ大将で、周囲の人気者だっ た。口が悪く、サキの紙芝 居に対しているも毒舌でダメ 出しをしているが、誰よりも 楽しみにしている。
One of the three children that reunited with Saki in the Slave District. He was the boss of the kids during their time in the Preschool, and was very popular. He has quite a sharp tongue, and although he says very mean comments about Saki's picture stories, he's actually the one that enjoys them the most.

サキの教え子のひとり。両親 が健在のため、保育園が閉 銷したときにスレイヴに行か ずにすんだ。しかしサキを深 く慕っており、サキが最後に 先生をやると聞きつけ、保 育園に駆けつけた。
One of Saki's students. Since his parents are alive and well, he wasn't sent to the Slave District when the Preschool was closed. However, he has a deep affection for Saki, and when he heard that Saki was going to be a teacher for one last day, he ran as fast as he could to the Preschool.

保育園閉園後、カイリ、トト ラとともに3人に暮らしてい た生き残りのひとり。唯一の 女の子だが、気が強くて活 発。サキに憧れ、自らも先 生になることを夢見ている。 愛称はレン。
One of the three children that continued living in the Preschool after it was closed, the others being Kairi and Torora. Although she is the only girl in the group, she is pretty strong and energetic. She admires Saki, and dreams about becoming a teacher like her. Her nickname is Renny.

The young owner of the Yuraku Inn, a well-known lodging located in the Capo Waste Oil Springs of Archia. While the springs are thriving currently thanks to the nice warmth of its waters, he worries a lot about the deterioration of the structures and the waste oil that flows from the nearby factories. He also loves going in journeys to test other hot springs.

The clerk of Archia's general store, Interfilon. He was given this name because he was born precisely to run a general store.

The Heroines have crafted several Song Magics inside their minds, and with the exception of the ones made by Tyria and Arru, they also serve as the Mind Guardians for each persona. Also, the [Theme] part will serve to explain the [Shape of Love] and [Shape of Power] that rules each Song Magic, and the origin of their names.

A bomb created by Saki, who despises battles, to protect Aoto. She herself was the one who gave him the name [Bombastic Man]. While he has a nihilistic personality, he's very hotblooded, and his motto is to fully burn everyday. While he pledged that he would propose marriage to Saki once their battles ended, because his attack method is suicide bombing the enemy, he explodes immediately after. However, he revives later on.

The theme for him was a hero of love and courage. He is first born as a baby, and although he strays from the rightful path in the middle, at the end he becomes a cool hero. We tried to give him a color scheme appropriate to make him the Superman of the [Ar tonelico] series, while referencing the colors from the Heroines of [2]. Being irritated by Saki's extremely naive attitude, and based from Sarapatra's will, he entered into Saki's Soulspace to begin causing wars. He is extremely proud, and despite having a very arrogant side, he has pledged absolute loyalty to Sarapatra. Due to his complex appearance, he's frequently mistaken for a woman, which enrages him.

While he is supposed to be essentially the image of abundance, this also brings the problem of him having an overabundance of emotional changes, such as telling his enemies "Go somewhere else, crying worm!" and then begin crying for Sarapatra "Mama!!" There was a point in which we considered making him into a [fairy], but since he was already established as a [cute boy] and we didn't want to make him wear female clothes, we decided to give him a decidedly male-looking body. A wandering maid cat whose hobby is nursing. She assisted in everything she could to stop the [Doomsday Tsunami], which would destroy Saki's Soulspace. Because her master Filament has an antagonistic position to Sakia Lumei, she told Aoto to be careful with her. While she has a nice and helpful personality, she also displays a very playful side, as it can be seen from the strange special drinks that she makes others drink.

高潔な女騎士、といった立ち居振る舞いを 見せる、サキア・ルメイの心の護。出会った 頃はアオトに対して一線を引いた態度に徹して いたが、アオトがサキアを救ったごとで態度を 軟化し、協力的になった。サキアの意外な趣 味を見ても特に動じることがなく、さすが心の 護といったところ。性格を熟知しているらしい。
The Mind Guardian of Sakia Lumia, who pretty much displays the same attitude as a noble knight. While when they met, she told Aoto that she would overlook a careless commentary he made, because he saved Sakia, she softened her attitude, and began helping him. She is quite a great Mind Guardian due to not being especially shaken after Sakia revealed her unexpected hobbies. Her personality is that of a very-well informed person.

彼女の本質はその剣にすべてが集約されま す。彼女の剣が広刃なのは攻撃のためではな く防御のためです。いわば剣よりも盾に近い。 剣には「陽彼方竜一対吹雲蒼光満地成塔星 構」という詩が込められていて、「陽出ずる彼 方に死の雲を吹き消す一対の竜が在リ、やが て大地は蒼い光に満ち溢れ、塔は星の樹と成 る」といラメッセージです。ちなみにこの二対 の竜のうち一体がツァリヴェーラで、もう一体 はアレーティアです。(ntny)
Her true nature is summarized by the sword she carries. Her sword has a broad blade that isn't for attacking, but for protecting. In a way, we could say that it's more similar to a shield than to a normal sword. The sword has the following poem engraved in it [Sun Other Side Dragon Opposing Blow Clouds Blue Light Fill Land Creation Tower Planet Construct], which contains the following message [Beyond the place from which the Sun comes out, there are two Opposing Dragons that will Blow away the Clouds of Death, and before long, the Land will be Filled to the Brim with a Blue Light, and the Tower will Create the Trees of the Planet]. To put it simply, these two opposing dragons are Tsarivera and Aletheia.

She's the Mind Guardian that supports Finnel by lovingly bullying her (?), since she has such an strong desire for masochism. She enjoys a lot her position as a healer for Finnel's mind. Because she was originally born from the self-defense mechanism that Finnel has inside herself, she was destined to perish when Finnel's mind regained its light. Momoko accepted this fate, and entrusted Finnel to Aoto.

イメージが二転三転したキャラです。第二案 からは路線を「魔女っ子アニメのライバルキャ ラ」というイメージで再構築。なかなか良い 魔法のステッキが浮かばず、ウラガエルのデ ザイナーにお願いしたら素晴らしい杖を上げて くれました。あのステッキの名前は「太陽の つるぎ」です。杖なのに！魔法少女史上、こ れ以上にキモイ杖は存在しないと思ってます。 （ntny）
She's a character that went through several changes. When I made the second draft, I decided to restructure her with the image of her being [the rival character from a magical girl anime]. Of course, this led me to the idea that she had to have an excellent wand, and I requested to Uragael's designer to make one for her. The name of that wand is [Sun Sword]. But it's a wand! I don't think that there hasn't been such a disgusting wand in the history of magical girls. (ntny)

戦略シミュレーションゲーム風の世界を舞台 に活躍する、ユリシカの心の護。強大な火力 を武器に、ソーマの軍勢を打倒した。兵器で あるため、ほぼ発言することはなく、命じられ た任務を忠実にこなす。全身に重火器を内蔵 しているため兵器としてのスペックは高いが、 純朴な一面もあるようで、お色気には無力。
Yurisica's Mind Guardian, which first appeared and acted in the world that seemed like an strategy game. Through its powerful steam weapons, it defeated Soma's army. Since he is pretty much a weapon, he almost doesn't speak, and he's completely loyal to the orders he receives. Because he has heavy weapons concealed inside himself, his specifications as a weapon are high, but because of his rustic appearance, he is powerless when it comes to camouflage.

イメージが、多脚＋戦車＋レトロ…と来て、 黒いＳＬ機関車を取り入れ、アリ（蟻）っぽい デザインのロボという考えに行き着きました。 名前の意味も相まって「物静かで忠実なシモ ベ」という雰囲気になったと思います。（ひじリ）
For the image, I came up with multiple legs + tank + retro... and then, based from a black SL locomotive, I ended arriving to the ant-like robot design he has. Combined with the meaning of his name, I ended giving him an atmosphere of a [silent, faithful servant]. (Hijiri)

ハロウィンのカボチャを思わせる、ソーマの 心の護。排他的なソーマの性格を引き継いで か、アオトにはしぽらく攻撃的な態度だった。 しかしアオトを認めてからは心を開き、ソーマ を救うためにアオトに助力を懇願している。や や極端な思考の持ち主で、アオトに「ソーマ に殺ざれなさい」とけしかけたことも。
This is Soma's Mind Guardian, which has an image resembling a Halloween pumpkin. Since it was very possible that Soma ended taking over Finnel's body as the main persona, Kabotatsu had always an hostile attitude against him. However, after she recognized Aoto, she opened her heart, and pleaded him for help to save Soma. She has an extremist mentality, and she was who suggested Aoto to [let Soma kill him].

The theme for her was a living being part pumpkin, part fairy. Whenever the living being goes out to the outer world, it first sprouts out its wings and flies with them. However, the part about flying was the last one I made. Her hair is her wings, and its coloring was taken from Soma's hair.

丁寧な口詞と上品な物腰を見せる、スズノ ミアの心の護。ただしそれは外面が良いだけ で、実は短気で口汚いという、極端な裏の顔 を持っている。感情の沸点がかなり低いよう で、表裏の切り替えが早いうえに極端な性格 だ。フィンネルの精神世界では、フィンネル とアオトを裁くために法廷に誘導した。
Suzunomia's Mind Guardian, who displays a courteous vocabulary and refined attitude. However, although she apparently is quite a good girl, she actually has a hidden side, represented by her short temper and her foul tongue. Because the snap point for her feelings is extremely low, she changes to her hidden side quite fast, giving her an extreme personality. In Finnel's Soulspace, she led Aoto and Finnel into a courtroom to judge them.

Since Suzunomia was established as a character that doesn't remember anything or anyone, we decided to give Aletheia the image of a [canary that forgot songs]. The owner of a completely forgotten singing voice. The remains of the bird's singing voice that originally gave birth to Ar Ciel. Her base concept is a [thrown away slave]. While her eyes don't actually reflect anything, her heart is filled to the brim feelings of a pure something that she wants to tell. She is one of the dragons mentioned in the poem of Tsarivera's sword, but this is something that Aletheia herself doesn't know.

ティリアが紡いだ詩魔法。レーヴァテイル・ オリジンであるティリアは、コスモスフィアを 持たないため、心の護も存在しない。すなわ ち、ウラガエルは彼女が戦いのためだけに紡 ぎ出した存在というわけだ。圧倒的な攻撃力 を備えており、高高度まで上昇してから放つ ビームはトップクラスの破壊力となっている。
A Song Magic crafted by Tyria. Since Tyria is a Reyvateil Origin, and as such, she lacks a Cosmosphere, she doesn't have a Mind Guardian. In other words, Reversaler is nothing else than a being crafted by Tyria for usage in battle. He is equipped with an overwhelming attack power, and if released from high altitudes, his beams will have a top-class destructive power.

当初最強の兵装と聞いていたので砲塔があっ たリ、ミサイルであったりとだいぶメカっぽい デザインでありました。ですがそれはどうも男 の子すぎたようで、詩魔法は女の子から生ま れるものなので、もう少し愛嬌があリ、未来的 でもあリ、超古代のロストテクノロジー的でい て、激しく無機的で意味不明。で、よくわから ない形の方がそれらしいとの指示を受け、な にやらこの形に落ち着きました。目をくるくる 回すのがかわいいと思います。（大坪俊介）
When I first asked about which were the strongest military weapons, I heard that these were the gun-turrets and missiles. I asked this because I wanted to make mechanical design for this. However, since that would have been far too masculine for a Song Magic created by a girl, I decided to make it a little cuter, futuristic, make it have an air of lost technology, and violently inorganic and ambiguous in appearance. Since the instructions I were given were to give him a shape that didn't allow anyone to guess what it was, I finally settled down for this shape while seeking alternatives. ティリアと同様に心の護を持たない、アル ルが紡いだ詩魔法。新たな生命を宿す、受胎 をモチーフとして紡がれている。下半身がイ ルカと人魚の容姿を持ち、攻撃手段もイルカ。 このイルカは純粋さをエネルギーに置換した 存在であり、想いを力とするヒュムノスにあっ て、純粋さは比類なぎパワーを備えている。
This is a Song Magic crafted by Ar Ru, since similarly to Tyria, she doesn't have Mind Guardian. She was crafted as the motif of conception and of a being that carries a new life. The lower half of her body has the shape of both a mermaid and a dolphin, and she attacks by releasing dolphins. These dolphins are beings made from transforming pureness into energy, so this pureness has a comparable power to the conversion of feelings into energy that Hymmnos performs.

A husband loves greatly his wife as a life, and from the time of pregnancy to the time of delivery, the wife has to wait for around nine months to become a mother. A wife reflects herself as a woman on the eyes of her husband, and feels envious about the pregnant women because of how they seem to be beloved by everyone. This was our largest adventure this time, because we were summoning a pregnant woman into the game! It's true, however, that childbirth is both extremely difficult and painful. Her design motif were both dolphins and crocus. If you research what the crocus means in the language of flowers, you most likely will end thinking [I see]. These are the feelings that Arru put into her.
