Although stats-wise they are improved over their predecessors, skills-wise these monsters are actually a downgrade on them both. They only have access to a single-target three hit skill called Nightfall, as well as the Explosion attack from the Wizards, so while they can take a while longer to defeat, they aren't really as dangerous as the Necromancers were during Phase 2.
