オリジンの代わりが出来るものがいるかどうかは別として、塔の管理者交代が出来ればシュレリア様も永遠に生き続けることなく、普通に生きて寿命を迎えることが出来るのでしょうか？ それとも交代した時点で眠りっぱなしになっちゃうのでしょうか。 (eryo)

Aside of the fact it's impossible due to there not being a replacement Origin, if Lady Shurelia could carry out the Tower Administrator guard change, would she stop living eternally and would be able to live with a normal life span? Or would she continue sleeping eternally from when the guard change is done? (eryo)

塔の管理者交代についてだけど、私はこの目で見たことは無いから確実なことは言えないわ。 ただ、過去のデータベースやプログラムを見ている限りでは、結線が外れた時点で、人で言う「死」が訪れる事はわかっている。 実際はその一歩手前までは実践済みよね。サスペンドという詩を誰かさんが謳っているから。あの後オリカがリネイションを謳ったけど、その時の対象管理者を「シュレリア」以外のオリジンに設定してあった場合、それがまさに「世代交代」という儀式になるわけよ。 では、他のオリジンが管理者になった場合シュレリアはどうなるかと言えば、「どうにもならない」というのが最も有力ね。それはすなわち、機能停止したまま…要するに「死」という事になるわ。

About the Tower Administrator guard change, it's something I've never seen happen, so I can't reliably say how it goes. However, as far as I've seen from browsing through databases and programs from the past, I've learned that the instant her connections are cut off, what people call "death" would befall upon her. And we actually have seen this process carried out except for one step of it, and that was because a certain someone sang Suspend. Aurica later on sang Re-Nation, but if at that moment the target Administrator had been configured to be any other Origin that wasn't "Shurelia", they would have actually carried out the "Guard Change" ceremony. As for what would happen to Shurelia if another Origin was made Administrator in her place, the most likely thing is that it'd be "a situation about which nothing can be done". In other words, all her functions would stop permanently... or simply put, she'd "die".

β純血種の寿命に関しての質問です。 元来彼女らの寿命は約１５０年とありますが、ミュールのように肉体を封印されて長い間精神だけで生きた場合、その後肉体の封印が解けたときにどのくらい生きられるのでしょうか？ ミュールの場合３８２＞１５０であり、かつ何ら問題なく生きているようなのですが、封印されていた間を除いて１５０年生きられると解釈してよいのでしょうか。 (Aska)

I've got a question about the life span of the Pureblooded β-types. They have a life span of approximately 150 years by nature, but in the case of someone like Mir, who had her body sealed away and existed only as a mind for a long time, how longer would she be able to live once the seal on her body was broken? Mir has lived for 382 years, which is much more than the typical 150 life span, yet somehow she is living with no problems, so wouldn't the explanation be that she could live for 150 years if we don't count the time she spent sealed? 	理由は簡単よ。アルトネリコの設定資料集にも書いてあるとおり、ミュールが封印されていた間はHALT（ハルト：全処理停止）という状態だったわ。 これは、全てのプロセス…そうね、PCで言えば、プログラムが完全に止まってしまっている状態なの。 それはどういう事かと言えば、NEE（生命維持機構）も働いていなければ、中核三角環のエネルギーも処理されない。すなわち完全に時間が止まっている状態なのよ。 もう解ったと思うけど、その間は生きている事としてカウントはされていないわ。だから、封印されている年月は実際の年齢から差し引いておいて。	The reason is very simple. As it was written in the Ar tonelico Setting Material Collection, Mir was put in a state called HALT (all processes are stopped) during the time she was sealed. This is a condition in which all processes... right, if we were talking about a PC, it would mean that all programs are completely stopped. If we had to say what this means, it's that if the LEM (Life Extension Mechanism) isn't working, then not even the energy of the Triangular Nuclear Loop is processed. In short, it's as if time had completely stopped for her. I think you should have gotten the idea by now, but during that time, it doesn't count as if she was alive. So in practical terms, the years she spent sealed aren't counted in her age.

It was said in the setting collections material book that Mir was able to receive a supposedly limitless amount of life and energy like Lady Shurelia does, but does that mean that the Pureblooded Beta-Types would have no life spans if they could share the resources of the Tower? It seems like Pureblooded Beta-types have a life span of 150 years, but if any other Beta, like Misha did that same thing, wouldn't that completely consume her life span? It seems Mir could use a tremendous amount of energy... Ah, is possible that the reason Mei Mei sleeps so much due to Symphonic Power deficiency was because of Mir!? So it was you, aside of producing all those viruses, making the right Wing of Horus and the Hexagonal Plate of the Musical Corridor fall, and other things! (Sakura)

	失礼なことを言わないで。こう見えても塔内ではかなりエコロジーモードで活動していたのよ。 確かにウイルスを作る時は随分と導力を使ったりしたけど、彩音回廊の響板を落とすくらいなら大した導力は使わないし、寧ろプラズマベルという強烈な導力食いを１つ減らしたから、余剰導力は増えているはずよ？ それで質問の答えだけど、塔とリソースを共有しても、それだけで寿命が長くなるわけじゃないわ。まあ、色々と自分の精神世界を書き換えたりしているし、常人には出来ないようなことをしているからこそ無限に近い命とエネルギーを得ているわけなのだけど。 何せ私はシュレリアよりも処理速度が速いわけだから、精神世界改造を止めるだけの処理を持つセキュリティは無いのよ。だけど、普通のレーヴァテイルの場合、そうはいかないわ。間違いなく改造なんて止められるでしょうね。 それと残念ながら、メイメイが眠っているのは私のせいではないわ。彼女は数時間アクセスがないと勝手にサスペンドするように作られているのよ。エコエコでしょ？	Don't be rude. It's true I needed to use a great amount of Symphonic Power when I created the viruses, but I never used so much it caused the fall of the Hexagonal Plate. Rather, I'd say that the surplus of Symphonic Power should have increased greatly because the strong consumption of energy that the Plasma Bells represented was reduced by half. Besides, this question was answered before, but even if we could share the Tower's resources, that alone wouldn't be enough to increase the life span of the Betas. Well, they would need to rewrite their Soulspaces and several other things, so to be able to get that near-limitless amount of life and energy they would have to do things that no ordinary people can. Anyhow, since I have a faster processing speed than Shurelia, she has no security because the security processes can only protect against Soulspace rewriting. But normal Reyvateils don't have that speed, so it's a sure thing that the protection would catch them and stop the rewrites. And unfortunately, that Mei Mei spends most of her time sleeping isn't my fault. She's made to suspend on her own when she hasn't been accessed in a few hours. Super ecological, huh?
	結論を言うと、シュレリアより処理速度が速いからこそ、無限とも言えるエネルギーを得られるわけね。 この時点で既に勝負は着いているわよね。前回シュレリアは、自分が負けるなんてあり得ない、って言ってたけど、残念ながらシュレリアは絶対私には勝てないのよ。	Theoretically, she can get a supposedly limitless amount of energy just because she has a faster processing speed than Shurelia. However, we've already gotten to the point of who would win in a fight. Shurelia said in a previous issue that it's impossible for her to lose, but unfortunately, there's no way she can win against me at all.

ミュールとの和解後、ウイルスたちってどうなったんですか？まだそこいらで悪さしてるんですかね？ (ネロorz)

人聞きの悪いこと言わないで。今回はどうしてこんな私の質問ばかりなのかしら。 一応あの後、ウイルス生成プログラムは止めておいたわ。要するに、今でも残っている人を襲う敵は、私の創作物ではないという事よ。 ポムに代表される猛獣類は、全部第一紀に行われていた遺伝子研究によって作られた「異形の怪物」なの。 だから、私がウイルス製造プログラムを止めても、あの世界には脅威がたくさん有るという事ね。

設定資料集を見ても、イマイチ理解が出来なかったので質問します。 第三世代はヒュムネコードが無いのでHCのダウンロードが不可、ということですが、要するにヒュムネコードを塔に記録しておけば、第三世代でもHCのダウンロードが出来る、という事なのでしょうか？ それとも、そもそも一般的な第三世代にはヒュムネコードにあたる部分が無いのでしょうか？ (アヤノ)

Here's a question, as I've read the setting materials collection book, but there's still something I can't understand. It's said that Third Generations don't have Hymn Codes and thus can't Download Hymn Crystals, but if her Hymn Code was registered in the Tower, she would be able to Download Hymn Crystals. Is this correct? Or typical Third Generations don't have the part where the Hymn Code goes? (Ayano)

	厳密には第三世代にもヒュムネコードは存在するわ。ただ、そのスペクトラムが塔「アルトネリコ」に登録されていないだけの事よ。 元々β純血種は作られた命だから、その大元である中核三角環を培養した時に、その中核三角環からFFTスペクトラムを計測し、その一部分をサーバーに記録させておいていたのよ。 それが今でも生き続けているだけ。まあ、第三世代には中核三角環もDセロファンも無いから、正確なスペクトラムを塔に伝達することは難しいわね。 オリカがクリスタルをダウンロードできたのは、明らかにミュールのスペクトラムと酷似していたからでしかないわ。	Strictly speaking, Third Generations do have Hymn Codes. It's just that their spectra hasn't been registered in the Tower of "Ar tonelico". Since the Pureblooded β-Types were originally manufactured lives, generally when their Triangular Nuclear Loops started being cultivated, the FFT Spectra of their Triangular Nuclear Loops are sampled and measured, and part of it is recorded in the Server. The only reason Aurica was able to Download the crystals is obviously because her spectrum has a remarkable similarity to Mir's, nothing else.

The second anniversary of the Ar Portal has finally come. We've opened up the Second Anniversary Festival since a few days ago, and I'm very happy from the reactions you all have shown us. Together with the second anniversay, we're also opening up the Flash Cosmosphere 2 project and we'll be also unveiling several goods in the future, as I haven't forgotten my initial intentions of wanting to make things you all can truly enjoy. So I hope we'll continue helping each other from now on! For the future, I'm feeling like I'm constantly hearing voices that say things like "Damn, he's at it again!" or "He's doing absurd things...", and that's how the Ar tonelico project will continue existing.
