EXEC_HIBERNATION/.
A Song heard during Phase 3 of Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica.
It's a counting Song in which Infel expressed all of her disappointment towards Metafalica and the people of Metafalss, the latter being the reason why Metafalica was impossible to realize according to her, and the main motivation she had to abandon Metafalica and start working in the Ascension Project. The main ideas and program for this Song were woven and created 400 years ago, but it didn't take its current form as an EXEC-format Hymmnos Extract until the People of Mio, following Infel's will, completed it a few decades ago as the final step for the Ascension Project.
The function of this song is connecting Infel Phira and Ar tonelico, which will allow Ar tonelico to hack into Infel Phira through the Lakra System, reformatting all the data it has stored at the moment to then detach the souls of the Metafalssians from their bodies and keep them as data inside Infel Phira's memory. However, since this process deletes the Soulspaces of the IPDs, it will also kill them.
Likewise, once the people have been sublimated, if they don't return to their bodies soon, they will die as well. Once it has started, this Song can't be interrupted without killing the Singer and the people that are in the process of being sublimated, unless the Singer herself interrupts the Song.
Given the above, it is easy to see how this Song chronicles Infel's despair, although it also tells the first part of the zodal rhaplanca line of the Tale of Rhaplanca. To put it simply, Infel felt the same feelings that Rhaplanca felt in her legend, reason why she used it as the feelings for Hibernation.
During the events of the game, it was initially Downloaded into Luca so she would Sing it after making her think it would merely disable the IPDs' powers. However, Frelia stopped Luca from Singing it using the connection they shared through the D-Cellophane when she tried doing so to interrupt Cloche's singing of METHOD_REPLEKIA/. due to the fact Frelia could no longer send her the energy needed for the Song to be executed via proxy using the β-ER technique.
Later on, Luca refused to Sing it for the Sacred Army once she found out what this Song's true purpose was despite being faced with being executed alongside Cloche if she didn't Sing it, so they Downloaded it into Frelia and made her Sing it. Instantly, the souls of the Metafalssians began leaving their bodies and heading to Infel Phira while the IPDs started collapsing. Croix and his party tried to make Targana and Chester stop the Song in two separate ocassions, but as they refused and trying to stop Lakra from continuing the process from the physical world was impossible, Jakuri came up with the idea of gaining access to Infel Phira's Binary Field by Diving into Cocona's Cosmosphere and destroying the Boundary Gate inside.
After a lot of convincing, Croix did so and confronted Lakra to make her stop the reformatting, but he only ended up getting brainwashed by Lakra and almost losing himself to Hibernation, until Luca reached the place where Frelia was Singing, and upon being threatened with death by Targana, Luca screamed at her, making Frelia regain her senses and stop the Song at once. Frelia then collapsed from the great burden this Song placed on her, but it also allowed the Metafalssians to go back to their bodies. However, this left Infel Phira badly damaged, leaving most of the IPDs in a coma and Cloche at the verge of collapsing herself, and it would require other measures in order to go back to normal.
Also known as Haibanation. With over a 10 minute loop alone, it is the longest song in the entire franchise to be sung by a Reyvateil. The concert OST version is a massive 14 minute long song.

Feelings Contained in This Song
A certain poor land, a certain dim memory from the faraway past.
The people sowed seeds over a withered land, and fetched the few fruits
they could find for the provisions they would need the next day.
Everyone did their best to carry on their lives in these days.
Until a certain day, a girl called [Rhaplanca] crafted the great divine tree [Implanta].
And through its blessing, this poor land was greatly moistened.
Still, that was not going to last eternally.
When a little of sand began to blow into the land again, it became apparent
that it was not going to last for much more time.
Rhaplanca was able to commune her heart with Implanta.
And that remarkable power was to create magical seeds through singing.
These seeds could grant one wish of one person.
And a certain day, she told to the people these words:
"Use the powers of my seeds, and let this world be enshrouded in greenness, wish the water to drift about it
And you all will not to worry about food anymore, and you all will not be troubled whenever you wish to receive water.
If you all do as I say, this land will become joyful and prosperous, and
it will last like this until the time of the grandchildren of your grandchildren.
To bring up a prosperous land, a thousand seeds are necessary.
From now on, I will continue singing for a thousand days in the temple, for creating the seeds
Please, until the thousandth day comes, protect these seeds. I entrust them to all of you.
Just for a thousand days, please do not use the power of the seeds, but
cultivate them with your feelings."
Thus, Rhaplanca confined herself into the temple.
The days came and went by, as she crafted the seeds.
No matter what could be happening outside, she did not know at all.
She was just wishing for the happiness of this world, and crafting the thousand seeds,
Rhaplanca continued singing every day, using every bit of her strength.
And finally, she crafted the thousandth seed.
Rhaplanca went out from the temple, but she doubted the scene that her eyes
were showing her.
The world she was gazing at was not a world filled with warm smiles.
Of the seeds the princess had crafted, only one remained. All the others were used up.
And the city fell into depravity, with the people drowning in alcoholic
beverages, and living into palaces, just to satisfy their own selfish desires.
But they did not have enough with this. They also desired the seed that
Rhaplanca had in her hands.
The only seed that still remained.
The people scrambled for the seed, and began to kill each other for it.
And finally, they hung Rhaplanca by her hands.
"Craft the thousand-first seed!"... cried someone.
The people began making an uproar, as if all of them had agreed on something.
Using the last of her strength, Rhaplanca managed to slip away from the
city, carrying with her the last seed.
She arrived to the hill where there was just one dead tree, and she fell
to her knees, crying.
She had gotten very weak because she did not have any energy left, but her
tears did not stop flowing.
"Did these beings called humans commit a mistake, or did I commit it because
of being so gullible...?
Why... why men betray like that...?
Why... why men deprave themselves like that...?
That is...
because of that certain reason.
And that reason is...
because men live fearing [death]..."
Rhaplanca realized it,
and decided to create the true Utopia, by using the only seed that was still on her hands.
The princess wished upon the seed:
"Please, bestow eternal rest upon this land, in the form of a world without life nor death..."
Trivia
- According to Twitter commentary given by lyricist Reiko Takahashi, while it seems obvious that this Song is a counting song from the Hymmnos lyrics, that isn't the entirety of it: all the Japanese lines previous to the Hymmnos ones containing the numbers also say the number with a different reading. For example, all the lines prior to "And thus, came the first night" start with a "hito" syllable, which is a different way of saying "1". The same applies for all the lines except for the final ones, which lack the numbers, and the very last line, which ends with a "re" syllable, this one being short for "rei" (zero), indicating how at this point the world is supposed to have stopped existing.
- It's theorized that the program for this Song was originally created under the form of an Infel Phira Hymmnos Extract called METHOD_HIBERNATION/., but there is no evidence that such a Song actually existed, so there are two possibilities: either Infel executed it herself through Lakra, or the Song actually existed and she was the sole Singer of it.
