Moon Cloud

Moon Cloud (月に叢雲, tsuki ni murakumo^?, lit. "Clouds Gathering in the Moon/Obstruction") is one of the trial areas in Gaea, and it consists of a dream-like world made of candy and inhabited by a large number of friendly Pepens. Its comment line is: "Such is the nature of difficulty."

History

Luca's Route

Upon reaching the area, Luca whimsically welcomed the party. Croix was astonished upon seeing how everything was made from whipped cream and candy, while Amarie commented on how unrealistic the entire thing seemed. Luca added it was just like Heaven, and added that there were a few Pepens living around there too, making Cloche gasp in admiration. However, Luca then commented that the Pepens might have been a mistake on her part due to them going and stealing the Pippencuits from everyone that came around. She then asked the party to take some Pippencuits from a nearby treasure chest and take them to another Luca that was deeper inside the area. Cloche agreed to do it, much to Croix's dismay, saying she would be glad to work surrounded by Pepens.

Once they managed to get across the area while keeping the Pippencuits safe, Luca received them and thanked Croix for his work, prompting Cloche to get angry due to her being the one who had accepted the task in the first place. But this was still enough for Soope to make another Sphere Key to appear.

Cloche's Route

Upon reaching the area, Cloche welcomed the party. Croix was astonished upon seeing how everything was made from whipped cream and candy, while Amarie commented on how unrealistic the entire thing seemed. Cloche added it was just like Heaven, and added that there were a few cute Pepens living around there too, making Luca comment on Cloche's love for them. However, Cloche cut her off at that point and announced she would give them a trial: they would take some Pippencuits from a nearby treasure chest and take them to another Cloche that was deeper inside the area. However, since her Pepens were so hungry, they would try to steal their Pippencuits as they walked, although she declared in a state of bliss that feeding the Pepens was the greatest thing any person could ever hope to do. However, she then regained composure and warned them against letting the cuteness of the Pepens get to them. Luca agreed to do it much to Croix's dismay, saying she would be glad allow Cloche to get her wish of feeding the Pepens granted.

Once they managed to get across the area while keeping the Pippencuits safe, Cloche received them and thanked Croix for his work, to then begin feeding the Pepens. This made Soope trigger the appearance of another Sphere Key.

Layout

This area is a large field filled to the brim with Pepens, although it also has a couple of side-rooms to it. Still, as stated previously, the goal here is reaching the Cloche/Luca in the depths of this area with at least half of the Pippencuits they get at the start safe. That means the player must have at least 15 of these items still in their inventory by the time they reach the other Cloche/Luca. Due to the way the Pepens are positioned, they won't be able to avoid them and will lose some of the Pippencuits, but they can still get a few extras if you go to the side-rooms and open the treasure chests in them. Likewise, failing in this trial can be useful to the player due to the fact that the Pepens that stole their Pippencuits will never try to do it anymore, even if they redo the trial, so if they fail enough times, there will be a moment in which there won't be any Pepens that can steal their Pippencuits, and thus, they can safely take them to Cloche/Luca to clear the trial.
